The World Leader In Rodent Control Technology.

Developed by the team of dedicated chemists and biologists at Bell Laboratories, TOMCAT and TOMCAT II are two of the most universally accepted and effective anticoagulants available. With great attention paid to purity of actives and only using human grade food in their baits, TOMCAT baits are your most effective weapons against rats and mice.

TOMCAT tamper resistant bait boxes are multi-use. First, they protect non-targets, such as dogs, cats, livestock and children from the bait. They can be safely placed in many baiting situations and equally important, rats and mice actually enjoy feeding inside them.

Non-toxic glue boards are ideal in situations where baits cannot be used. They're quick, clean, effective and leave physical evidence of the rodent so you know the job is done. New TOMCAT multi-catch and reusable mouse trap and rat trap - super effective, economical and safe. Multi-catch catches up to ten mice per setting.

How do I know where to place rodent bait, a bait station or a trap?

Look for signs of rodent activity - faeces, urine stains, gnawing marks and hair - or listen for scratching or high squeaking
sounds, particularly at night. Place rodent control products (as appropriate) in those locations of highest activity. Mice and rats have limited vision so they always follow a line (such as walls, using their whiskers as antenna).

How long does it take for rodent baits to work?

Our TOMCAT & TOMCAT II baits both contain a single-feed anti-coagulant. This means a rodent can consume a lethal dose in a single feeding. Once it has consumed a lethal dose, it will die in 5-7 days. TOMCAT II contains a more powerful single feed anti-coagulant for maximum control.

What should I use to bait my TOMCAT Mouse Trap?

If placed with the opening against a wall or other object where mice move back and forth, mouse traps do not require additional attractants. However, if you should wish to use an attractant, peanut butter is usually the easiest and most convenient to use.

Is there a bait that causes the rodent NOT to smell when it dies?

No. Unfortunately, a dead rodent in a warm environment is going to decay and as a result, leave an odour for up to
7 days......... REGARDLESS of the type of bait used.

Note: The use of TOMCAT Traps or TOMCAT Glue Boards is another alternative that can eliminate this possibility.

How can I keep rodent baits away from my pets?

Bait boxes are the ideal device to add safety to rodent control. They are generally extremely durable, tamper resistant and can even be anchored to ensure they cannot be picked up or moved. However, baits can be safely used on their own by placing them in areas that are not accessible to your pet.

If my pet eats the rodent bait, could it die?

The risk to your pet depends on what type of pet it is, how big it is, what type of bait it has consumed, as well as how much bait was consumed. If a situation occurs, immediately call the poison information number for your State for assistance.

If my pet eats a dead rodent, could it die?

The best way to ensure there is no chance of secondary poisoning is to properly dispose of dead rodents. However, the risk to your pet depends on what type of pet it is, how big it is, how many rodents it has consumed and what type of bait the rodent consumed prior to death. If you are concerned about possible exposure, call your vet. Occurrences of this type of poisoning are rare.

What's the best way to bait?

You should begin baiting as soon as you detect a problem. Put bait in areas where you notice or suspect rodent activity, that is where rodents will find it. Mice tend to travel only 3 to 9 meters from their nest, while rats' home range is 30 to 45 meters. Be sure to keep bait fresh and dry, and get rid of any old or contaminated bait. Maintain an uninterrupted supply of bait for at least 10 days.
